Summary: Our client is a soft drink manufacturing company based in Central Province/Region of Kenya.

Job Purpose: Based in Central Province / Region of Kenya, the role aims to manage day- to-day warehousing and Distribution operations and to ensure that related functions are carried out in a timely, reliable and cost effective manner; 

To provide materials, equipment, and supplies; To direct, receive, warehouse, and distribute materials and products;To supervise staff to ensure that all KPIs are met; to guide, train and develop teams. 
This position reports to the Head of Supply Chain.

Primary Responsibilities:

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing, monitoring, reviewing and improving security procedures and protocols.Schedules daily activities, organizes and directs operation and job responsibilities within the warehouse to ensure effective management of resources. Overviews the inventory records and location for production control and cost accounting to ensure adherence to standards and distribution procedures Identifies potential risks to, and resolves/mitigates challenges to ensure continuous and uninterrupted flow of operations both at the main warehouse and satellite unitsImplements Security and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with standards/ requirements. Serves as an adviser to management on necessary actions.Builds, maintains and enhances customer relationships and ensures impeccable customer service across the function at all times Maintains agreed physical Warehousing standards by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts reconciling with ERP; Coordinating with Finance/ Audit function for stock taking & stock reconciliationEnsures that all team KPIs are met; Conducts appraisals and reviews to ensure that objectives are being achieved. Ensures that employees are guided, supported and trained daily; organizes structured on job trainings; develops career paths for the team members.Contributes to overall team effort through cross-functional liaison to accomplish set goals.Education and Qualification - Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business or on any vertical related to Logistics and Supply Chain Relevant postgraduate/ professional qualification. Membership to a professional body is highly desirableA minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a managerial role in large-scale warehouse and distribution set-up. Prior FMCG experience is Mandatory.Supply Chain Project Management experience in a dynamic/ rapid-growth environment start- up operations Must have previous hands-on and extensive experience working with SAP-ERPHands-on Management/ Leadership styleCritical thinking and problem solving skills Advanced oral and written communication skillsAbility to function in a high- pressure environmentAbility to meet aggressive deadlines Unquestioned integrity/ Sound ethical valuesHow to Apply:
