The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Limited is a State Corporation

established under the Companies Act (CAP 486) of the Laws of Kenya to

provide efficient, reliable, safe and cost effective means of

transporting petroleum products from Mombasa to the hinterland.

In

pursuit of this objective, the Company is looking for qualified, highly

motivated and results oriented candidates to fill the following vacant

positions:
 

Assistant Chemist 

Job Group 7

Location: Quality Control Section
 

 

Reporting to the Senior Chemist
 

Overall Job Purpose: Confirmation of the Quality of petroleum products handled by KPC, performing lab tests on the petroleum products, analyzing the results and making conclusions.
 

Job Profile

• Perform tests in all grades of petroleum products


• Analyse test results and make conclusions


• Ensure test equipment are available


• Advise the company on slop management


• Advise way of avoiding contaminations


• Prepare periodic reports


• Ensure proper housekeeping in the laboratory


• Enforce HSE issues in the lab


• Liaison officer in the lab


• Enforce JIG requirements in Jet A-1 handling


• Supervision and appraisals

Person Profile

• Minimum three (3) years relevant experience.


• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry


• Membership to a relevant professional body.
