Madrasa Early Childhood

Programme-Kenya (MECP-K) is an Early Years Programme founded in the

1980’s. 

MECP’s objective is to promote access

to quality Early Childhood Development and Education for children in

marginalized communities in Kenya in order to enhance smooth transition into

and through primary school.
 

MECP-K is looking for dynamic and

enthusiastic individuals with strong personal commitment to the education needs

of children to fill in positions as Early Childhood Development Field Officers.
 

Location: Nairobi, Siaya, Laikipia and Uasin Gishu Counties

(1 each)
 

The ECD field officers will work

closely with the County ECD officers and technical committee
to facilitate implementation of project activities and deliverables. 

The Field officers will coordinate

and oversee technical activities in the counties under the guidance of the

Project Coordinator. 

The officer will organise, coordinate

and facilitate training of County ECD teams, ECD teachers and provide on-going

mentorship and support.

Required Qualifications and Experience

·                    
A Bachelor’s degree in Early

Childhood Development or Education from a recognized university with a Minimum

of 3 years’ experience working in the education sector preferably Early

Childhood Development.

Practical knowledge and experience in

Child Centred Methodologies. 

·                    
S/he needs to demonstrate ability to

work independently as well as in a team. 

·                    
Proficiency in strong organizational

and reporting writing skills. 

·                    
S/he needs to have good facilitation

skills and fluency in English and Kiswahili.

·                    
Candidates from the above mentioned

local county locations preferred.
