IT Officer Job in Kenya

We seek to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated individual for the position of IT Officer. 

Reporting to the Operations Director, he/she will have the role of offering IT Technical Support (Systems / Network Administrator).
 

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Installs and configures network server hardware, operating systems, and services, including, but not limited to Internet-related services, name resolution services, active directory services, maintain the IT equipment movement & issuance register and other administrative network services such as PBX phone system, etc.


• Troubleshoots network operating systems, services and server hardware to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems and liaising with the Service Provider to ensure 99% network uptime.


• Set up and maintain network printers. Liaise with maintenance provider to ensure printers are operating optimally; Perform periodic preventive maintenance of all computers and printers.


• Assists in the deployment of server-based network applications.


• Provides on-site and phone-based technical support services to departments and sites.


• Performs network account management and security tasks.


• Communicates directly to vendors to collaboratively resolve technical support issues for systems that cannot be completely supported by HQ ICT office.


• Collaborates with other IT Support functional units, vendors and customers to assist in the deployment of new technology-based solutions, troubleshoot complex network related issues and to complete large scale projects.


• Performs basic scripting functions to automate network processes and software installation/configuration.


• Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.


• Performs other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position


• Maintenance and improvement of the company website, Cloud server back up and Development of in-house software systems


• Any other duties that may be assigned to the IT Officer

Qualifications:

• First Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution or graduation from a certified or technical program. 


• Relevant MCSE and CCNA certifications will be an added advantage. 


• Three years of experience in a Client/Server environment
