The
Council of Legal Education (CLE) is established under the Legal Education Act,
No. 27 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya.
The
core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal
education and training, to license and supervise legal education providers;
conduct Bar Examinations; and to advice the Government on matters relating to
legal education and training.
In order to efficiently and effectively deliver its functions, the Council Research Officer
wishes to recruit a full time high caliber staff in the following position:-

Overall purpose of the job: Reporting
to Manager, Quality Assurance, the successful candidate will provide support in
carrying out benchmarking and research, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry
out research in relevant areas on legal education and training; - Prepare
comprehensive reports on trends in legal education and training; - Make
relevant recommendations based on research carried out; - Undertake
other duties as shall be assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors
Degree in Law; - Training
and experience in the areas of Standards and accreditation; - Must
be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya; - At
least 2 years post qualification experience in a relevant field; - Experience
in conducting research; - Good
report writing skills; - A
team player, high level interpersonal skills; - Ability
to work with minimum supervision and adhere to set timeliness; - Must
be computer literate;

Basic Pay:

-140,744 per month
House Allowance: Kshs.24,000
Commuter Allowance: Kshs.8,000
