Administrative Assistant
The International Center for Tropical
Agriculture (CIAT) – a member of the CGIAR Consortium (www.cgiar.org) –
develops technologies, innovative methods, and new knowledge that better enable
farmers, especially smallholders, to make agriculture competitive and
profitable as well as sustainable and resilient.
CIAT conducts research for
development in tropical regions of Latin America, Africa, and Asia
(www.ciat.cgiar.org).
The Position: The Program Administrative Assistant acts as the
“Go-To” person to provide a variety of administrative support services, ranging
from complex to routine, some of which require familiarity with workflows for
hiring, purchasing, budgeting, finance and projects management.
The position requires the ability to
develop and maintain strong relationships with the different service units in
order to coordinate and ensure efficient and professional delivery of services
to the Soils Research Area Director’s office and other program staff.
The position is nationally recruited
and based at the CIAT Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya.
