Broadband Communication Networks Limited is a telecommunication

solution provider whose main activity is to provide telecommunication

network solutions for mobile network operators, fixed network operators

and large business customers in Africa.

To meet our current business goals and objectives, we wish to recruit for the following position:

Position: Draftsman
 

Summary: The CAD Draftsman operates Computer Aided Design (CAD) computer system, including creating, updating and modifying maps, and performs manual drafting.
 

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques


• Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques


• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects


• Attend MSV and other surveys


• Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by various clients


• Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software


• Work under the supervision of engineers or architects


• Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices.


• Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications


• Assist and coordinate with designers and engineers.


• Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations.


• Collaborate with designers, constructors and engineers on projects.


• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.

Educational Requirements of a Draftsman

• Diploma in Civil Engineering/Structural engineering from reputable college preferably with a strong knowledge of AutoCAD.


• 3 yrs Experience in Building and Construction.
