Chief Accountant

Reporting to the General Manager – Finance
 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of management accounts on monthly basis against strict deadlines


• Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with IFRS


• Preparation of budgets


• Prepare monthly schedules and periodic cash flow projections


• Enhance revenue collection and manage and control costs


• Develop and implement effective internal controls systems


• Preparation of projections and installment tax computations


• Manage External Auditors, Suppliers, Governmental Authorities etc


• Properly maintain the trial balance and ensure integrity of the general ledger


• Ensure all statutory fillings and compliance are done within stipulated deadliness


• Oversee supervision of treasury, accounts payable, receivable and inventory functions

Qualifications & Skills

• University degree in Accounting/Finance or related field


• CPA (K) or equivalent


• At least 5 years working experience as a Senior Accountant


• Proficient in computer packages


• Familiarity with SYSPRO will be added advantage


• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines


• Strong leadership and management skills


• A team player
