Purpose: Responsible for selling and merchandising products in all retail outlets
 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a marketing plan for marketing and salling of company products


• Recruit sales staff in the region to ensure market penetration of the product


• Based on marketing plan sell specific products to retailers in cash only to kiosks, dukas, convenience stores, supermarkets, hotels, learning institutions etc.


• Order taking in person from retailers, kiosks, dukas supermarkets etc


• Check inventory to ensure product is in stock.


• Promote the organization’s products as required.


• Collect market intelligence for organization’s products and competitors


• Daily report writing and submission electrically


• Ensure pricing is correct.

Key Performance Indicators

• Achievement of sales targets on a monthly basis


• Implement merchandising objectives in all targeted outlets


• Achieve target coverage, availability and penetration of  products in assigned region


• Monthly stock reconciliation with distributors


• Timeliness and quality of reports

Academic Qualifications

• Levels (C)


• Professional Qualifications


• Diploma in a business related course will be an added advantage


• Computer Literate

Skills and Competencies

• Superior selling, communication and negotiation skills


• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships


• Report writing skills


• Planning and organization skills
