Woodcreek is an international, IGCSE curriculum, co-education school set in Kamiti area – Ruiru, 17 kilometers from Nairobi CBD. 

The school has a preschool and a middle school set to open in January 2018.

1. PreSchool Head
 

We are looking for a pre-school founding Head teacher who can lead the school by creating and maintaining a culture of excellence and accountability required for a Preschool of the highest standards. 

The candidate should be an excellent communicator who can be a role model for Teachers, Staff, Parents, and the Community. 

A proven, Leader to manage the school in all aspects and continuously looks into performance improvement of the team.

The head teacher will be responsible for the day-to-day and overall operations of the Preschool. 

He/she ensures the staff provides the best possible care and learning experience for the children in our programs, oversees the curriculum, and markets the school and its programs. 

The Head teacher must have extensive knowledge of childcare management and early education and must have the business skills to manage the administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the school.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, post Graduate degree or Diploma plus other qualifications related to the job.


• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a rigorous; high-expectations school setting including instructional leadership roles (e.g., deputy head, teacher coach, coordinator, etc.).


• This position requires strong customer service focus, communication, and time management skills. 


• Person must also have excellent sales skills since a large part of your responsibilities will include increasing enrollment.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate. 


• Strong organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation with accountable & performance measurements.


• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet

2. Teachers

The school is also looking for dynamic and enthusiastic teachers to fill these important roles. 

It is vital that applicants have relevant experience working in a preschool and prep school that follows the British curriculum.

1. Kindergarten Teachers; Early Year foundation stage classes


2. Preparatory School Teachers; Key stages 1 and 2 class Teachers
