The club is Located along the Thika Superhighway, barely half a kilometer from the Blue post Hotel where the famous Chania and Thika falls meet in a twin bridge.

Job Summary (Essential Functions):

• Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate preparation of tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses


• Ensure a tidy dining area and high maintenance throughout the day.


• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)


• Inform customers about the day’s specials


• Offer menu recommendations upon request


• Up-sell additional products when appropriate


• Take accurate food and drinks orders using the captain orders to the kitchen/bar and later post on the POS ordering software.


• Ensure all receipts generated from the POS system are taken to the bar/kitchen


• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff


• Coordinate the service of food and drink orders


• Ensure continuous clearance of dirty plates, glasses, and silverware from the restaurant or bar


• Ensure members are well advised on shift changes before handover and ensure allocated area has been swiftly handed over.


• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health department regulations and protocols


• Provide excellent customer service to guests


• Adherence to health and safety standards at all times and ensuring one’s Food Handlers Certificate is valid.

Requirements

Licenses and Special Requirements:

• Food safety certification.


• Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Education and/or Experience:

• Diploma in F&B service and sales from a reputable institution


• Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred.


• The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.


• Must be from Thika and its environs or willing to relocate
