The Chief Human Resource Officer will report to the Deputy Director (Finance and Administration). The officer will provide strategic leadership, direction and manage the operations of the Human Resource Department.

House Allowance: | 121,530 x 5,160 – 126,690 x 5,190 – 131,880 x 5,220 – 137,100 p.m. | |
Kshs. 60,000 | PM | |
Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 14,000 | PM | |
Leave Allowance: | Kshs. 10,000 | PA |
Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year

Duty Location: Head Office-Nairobi

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop appropriate Human Resource Management strategies, policies, procedures, programmes, work plans and budget
- Facilitate recruitment, selection, placement, training and development of staff
- Coordinate staff performance and career progression and making appropriate recommendations
- Responsible for the Human Resource Management operations
- Develop and implement Performance Management Systems
- Develop Succession Management Plan
- Administer approved staff compensation and benefits schemes
- Responsible for staff guidance and counselling as well as employee wellness activities
- Spearhead management of organization culture and change process
- Liaise with the relevant Government organs in respect of staff legal matters
- Handle employee grievances and labour relations including Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations.
- Provide guidance on staff promotion and discipline
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- A Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent from a recognized University
- Seven (7) years period of professional experience in Human Resource Management, four (4) of which must be in a Senior Management level in a large organization
- Literacy in ICT applications especially in Human Resource Management Information Systems
- Conversant with Labour Laws, Employment Act and Government procedures
- Membership of Institute of Human Resource Management and in good standing
- Attended Senior Management Course (SMC) in a recognized institution (at least 4 weeks)
- Strategic Leadership and Development Programme (SLDP) Course (at least 6 weeks) is an added advantage
- Possess a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) Certificate
