MSF Belgium, South Sudan mission is looking to fill the following positions for an initial period of 4 months and based in Southern Sudan.
Surgeon
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Emergency Coordinator and s/he will perform the following main tasks, among others:
* Management and organization of the surgical services as per the standard MSF protocols.
* Provide the best emergency surgical care.
* Training, supervision and evaluation of staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education: Qualified Medical Doctor (Surgeon), specialized in surgery.
* Experience: Prior experience in clinical practice as a Surgeon; MSF/ NGO experience
* Skills: Able to train, diplomatic, cultural sensitive, open minded, patient & organized; Able to work and live in very basic conditions.
* Language: Proficiency in written and oral English; Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
Anaesthetist
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Emergency Coordinator and s/he will perform the following main tasks, among others:
* Management and organization of the anesthetic services as per the standard MSF protocols.
* Care to the patient (pre-operation consultation, anaesthesia & per (intra) operation period and post operation care).
* Training, supervision and evaluation of staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education: Qualified Medical Doctor/ Clinical Officer, specialized in Anaesthesia.
* Experience: At least two years practical experience; MSF/ NGO experience and/or experience in with war wounded is an advantage.
* Skills: Able to train, diplomatic, cultural sensitive, open minded, patient & organized; Able to work and live in very basic conditions.
* Language: Proficiency in written and oral English; Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
Medical Doctor/ Clinical Officer (for Mobile clinics)
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Emergency Coordinator and s/he will perform the following main tasks, among others:
* Daily management of the medical activities of the mobile teams and ensure good follow up of MSF protocol & guidelines.
* Conduct medical consultations, handle emergency situations and follow up referrals accordingly.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Education: A registered Medical Doctor with a Degree in medicine or a registered Clinical Officer with a Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
* Experience: Knowledge in tropical medicine with at least 2 years experience; MSF/ NGO experience is an advantage.
* Skills: Good organization skills, diplomatic, cultural sensitive, open minded and patient; Able to work and live in very basic conditions.
* Language: Proficiency in written and oral English; Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
Nurse (for Mobile clinics)
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Mobile Clinics Medical Doctor or Clinical Officer and s/he will perform the following main tasks, among others:-
* Conduct OPD consultations in accordance with the MSF clinical guidelines
* Nursing care, including dressings, simple suturing in aseptic technique according to protocol.
* Handle emergency situations according to the protocol in the absence of the MD/ CO.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education: Registered Nurse with a Diploma in Nursing.
* Experience: Knowledge in tropical medicine & obstetrics; 2 year practicing experience; MSF/ NGO experience is an advantage.
* Skills: Diplomatic, cultural sensitive, open minded, patient and able to work and live in very basic conditions.
* Language: Proficiency in written and oral English; Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
