Purpose of the position:

To provide technical assistance to the Food aid unit on project design, funding assistance, implementation plans and strategy development, monitoring and evaluation for all food aid and emergency response/relief and disaster management projects in collaboration with other Humanitarian actors and World Vision Kenya (WVK) sector-specialists.

The holder should also develop and directly implement clear and tangible strategies for ensuring: effective stakeholder engagement at the national level, FPMG and Support office through the booking policy and to ensure well coordinated and target responsive resource acquisition efforts that focus on WVK’s Food Aid programmatic priorities and core competencies.

This will include effective donor/FPMG/SO correspondence, collaboration, fundraising and reporting that all seeks to realize the child well being outcomes.

Qualifications

The holder of this position must have a minimum of a degree in a relevant field from a recognized University.They must have a minimum of 5 -7 years experience with regard to the designing, planning, implementation, supervising and reporting on integrated development, relief and/or advocacy projects;They should have at least 3-5 years experience as a Programme Officer ;The holder of this position must be a results orientated who can handle a heavy work load as well as manage and satisfy multiple and at times conflicting organizational, donor and other stakeholder demands and;He /she must also have ample experience in public relations, leadership, fund raising, results based management, donor requirements, staff capacity building, public speaking, strategic management, and be a strong team player.
