Position Purpose:This position can be based either in Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota or Nairobi, Kenya. The Global M&E specialist will be supporting the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation in Land O'Lakes development programs. Main responsibilities will be to assist development programs during the main stages of M&E including, but not limited to, start-ups, baselines, on-going monitoring activities and reporting, assessments and improvements, close-outs, final surveys and reports. Also, main responsibilities will include close coordination with the M&E, Communications, Information Systems and other teams at the home office to make sure that their standards are effectively implemented in the M&E process and systems.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education:4-year Degree
Prospective candidate must have relevant experience in planning, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting for international development projects with at least three years' experience in using quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection and analysis.
Required Competencies & Other Skills:Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite and any statistical software database (i.e. MS Excel, Access, Minitab Minitab, SPSS, Stata, EpiInfo) is required. Be flexible and able to work with people of different cultures and bility to speak other languages. Must have excellent written and oral communications. Information Systems, data management, statistics, or GIS background is preferred.
Preferred Experience & Education:Graduate Degree or 2 years experience; Experience in USAID and USDA programs with professional experience in the field is preferred.
