Operations Controller Job in Kenya

Background

Our client is a leader in FMCG / Liquor Industry; owning and operating duty free travel retail shops at airports and seaports worldwide, as well as involving in brand development, marketing, and sales. 

The company is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, operating through a network of offices and warehouses in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Our client is interested to recruit for the following positions based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Department: Operations

Designation: Operations Controller

Appointment: Local

Budget: KSHS 100,000 – 120,000 (USD 1,175 – USD 1,425) per month

Functional Competencies:

Participates in cross-functional activities to achieve organizational objectives.Ensures that important information from management is shared with employees and others as appropriate.Ensures that regular, consistent, transparent communication takes place within area of responsibility.Works with employees to set and communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.Understands the regulatory/legal environments, economics, competitive landscape, and taxation opportunities of the industry in which the organization operates.Involves legal or compliance experts within the organization to evaluate and resolve matters when necessary.Drives discussion and idea generation to encourage innovative ideas in others.Is flexible and adaptable.Can facilitate effective brainstorming.To prepare the feasibility studies for all new projects that need to be implemented for the region.To analyze the expenses for the project, vis-à-vis the feasibility presented and approved by MB.Derive comparative analysis for each function of projects, and, ensure that the BOQ’s are studied and highlight any deviations.To ensure all assets purchased are in tune with the requirement and monitor the costs. Any deviations to be highlighted.To keep track of office administrative expenses, identify deviations as per past history and communicate the same to the respective HOD’s.Prepare all Capex requirements for existing businesses and new ventures.Provide inputs for preparation of Annual budgets to locations.To analyze the trends, deviations in consolidated Monthly MIS report of all the branches and recommend necessary action plan.Consistently check on the Annual budgets for the locations and highlight deviations from budgets on a monthly basis.To prepare annual operation and budgetary plan for all the locations in close coordination with all the location managers and monitor the same at regular intervals for analyzing the deviations from the set parameters.Minimum 7-10 years + in Audit/Commercial Department; CPA (K)/ACCA: Preferably CPA (K)To apply:
