Overall development, management and coordination of the Diocesan development and humanitarian programmes in line with Strategic Plan and approved proposals and budgets.Develop and maintain effective relationships with development partners ensuring strict compliance with Diocesan and donor policies and standards and procurement procedures.Initiate the appraisal and funding of new programmes of work in line with Diocesan strategic priorities.Ensure that Diocesan and donor funds are used in the most effective way, demonstrating good stewardship of resources and compliance with Diocesan and donor policies and procedures including procurement procedures.Lead and manage programme staff; including appropriate capacity building and systematic empowerment according to Diocesan management standards and staff policies, so that staff the effectiveness of the team is achieved.Ensure that the Diocesan Management Board is apprised of all activities designated to Development Office.Minimum of a Degree in social science or related field. MA degree shall be an added advantage.At least 5 years of experience with three of those in a team management role.Strong project management skills.Strength in managing, developing, coaching and retaining individuals.Deep understanding of human resources, employee performance, improvement plans and corrective action policies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and a commitment to and passion for service to the poorest people.Ability to make sound and timely judgments.Strong intellectual, analytical and decision making abilities.Must have knowledge and experience in community participatory approaches.Must have a valid driving license.Must be computer literate, conversant with operating software.Should have good writing and communication skills.Must be articulate in the understanding of the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church.Send a copy of your CV and a Cover letter to
