Job Description: This is a commissioned sales position. Responsible for giving product presentations to the customer describing how the Intel Expressway products provide the optimum solution. During customer's product design, responsible for design assistance including on-site visits to review designs, examine customer problems and provide suggestions on optimal ways to use Intel Expressway products. Manage relationships between Intel and customers by establishing relationships with key individuals at accounts. Identify and develop new opportunities within accounts. Give product demonstrations and execute benchmarks to show product capabilities and ease of use. Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy. Communicate strategies to appropriate field and engineering personnel to obtain required support and coordination. Assist the customer throughout the evaluation cycle to ensure successful completion of the Proof of Concept or evaluation. Provide timely feedback to Product Management and Engineering on product and strategy issues to ensure that Intel is capable of responding to and/or anticipating changes needed to maintain success. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following)
-Pre-sales SE support to the Sales team for the sale of Intel Expressway
-Initial post sale support for newly acquired customers
-Managing all technical aspects of customer accounts
-Preparations and delivery of technical customer presentations and product demonstrations
-Technical liaison between sales and Engineering, Customer Support and Product Management: feeding customer requirements back to the other technical teams.
-Scoping managing and executing remote and on site client POC and pilot projects
-Execute occasional short term Professional Services engagements.
-Be a public evangelist for Expressway by writing and contributing to creation of product White Papers and blogs and by doing speaking engagements at trade shows and industry meetings.
-Become expert in competitor products and how to effectively position against them
-Assist Sales with technical portion of RFI/RFP responses
Qualifications
Required Skills
BS in Computer Science, EE, or similar dicsipline
-5 years recent successful experience providing pre-sales technical support for sale of SOA/REST based integration software or appliances.
-5 years experience contributing to closing deals and supporting sales in a PreSales or Professional Services Role.
- Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers as well as peers.
Up to 50% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with SOA appliance products from suppliers such as IBM-DataPower, Layer 7, Vordel, Forum Systems, or Sonoa
-Experience with API Management (Mashery, Apigee)
-Experience supporting sale of integration products to facilitate PCI/DSS compliance.
-Experience supporting sale of integration products to facilitate health care data interoperability.
-Master Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
