Our client’s firms are committed to working together to provide extensive coverage and on-the-ground experienceThe purpose of the role is to support the Business Development Manager in the implementation of firm’s communications strategy, and to act as a central point of excellence for the network across all practice groups, sectors and offices.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:To assist with the day to day running of the network’s press office, including; responding to press enquiries, drafting and disseminating press releases, liaising with journalists, social media, webinars, and pitching stories to legal, sector and business media.Coordinates Public Relations initiatives (pitches, thought leadership pieces, articles, interviews, etc.) with outside PR firmTo assist the Business Development Manager to manage the firm’s processes for legal directories, including providing templates and guidance on best practice and deadlinesTo manage the firm’s processes for key awards.Provide advice and support to marketing and business development, business services professionals and lawyers to ensure communications that are consistent, of a high quality and in line with key messages.To maintain and update relevant sections of the website and intranet.To support internal and external reporting, including surveys, press coverage and reporting on profile raising activity.To support the business development team in other activities, as required.B.A. in Marketing or related field Minimum of two (2) years previous experience in marketing and business developmentPR/media relations experience (or the equivalent of) preferably in a professional services environmentDemonstrated experience in PR and communications (proof may be required)A strong understanding of PR and communications principlesStrong and effective communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail and very high literacy skillsPrior experience utilizing innovative presentation, website and SEO(search engine optimisationt) projects, as well as working with LexisNexis Interaction CRM strongly preferredSuperior technical and creative graphics skills using the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and LinkedIn profile or other social media skills required Send your application including a cover letter demonstrating why you are the best suited candidate for this role; a detailed CV highlighting relevant experience and achievements, details of current and expected salary, a day time phone contact, email address, and the names of three professional referees by close of business Friday 23rd May 2014.
