Tullow Oil is seeking talented, motivated, skilled individual to fill the following position:
Reports to: Business Performance & Planning Manager
Be responsible for liaison and management of Joint Venture partner interfaces, the coordination of Joint Venture activities.Ensure compliance with the Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements and ensure closure of Joint Venture related actionsPlay a critical role as the interface between Tullow Kenya functions and joint venture partnersEnsure compliance with the Operators obligations under the Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Operating AgreementsAct as the main point of contact and coordination on all matters with the joint venture partners Work across the functional areas of the Kenya Business Unit to coordinate all joint venture technical, operational, contractual and commercial requirements for Tullow KenyaWork with finance and projects control to ensure the internal Annual joint venture work Program and budget approval process is completed in timeCoordinate the work program and budget approval process with the joint venture partners and the Government of Kenya Review cost status of activities and work with project teams to ensure the right approvals are obtained in a timely mannerWork with the finance team to manage the billing and finance related reporting requirements of the joint Operating Agreements. Coordinate, issue and obtain all other partner approvals as required under the joint Operating Agreements.Work with the Legal and Public Affairs team to ensure all Government approvals as required under the PSCs are obtained in a timely mannerWork with the Public Affairs team to build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders for the joint ventures.Coordinate and manage audits performed by JV partners in all activitiesBachelors Degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Tax, Business, Law, Engineering). An MBA qualification is an added advantage.At least 8 years experience in a relevant field of work. Previous Joint Venture experience, including the ability to coordinate and manage a variety of different stakeholders / priorities is an added advantage.Good understanding of Licences, Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Operating Agreements.Experience in upstream petroleum operations, project management, upstream business and contracts management, corporate Planning & Budgeting cycles would be an added advantage.
