The overall mandate of the NBA is to exercise the general supervision and control over the transfer, handling and use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) with a view to ensuring safety of human and animal health as well as the provision of an adequate level of protection of the environment.
NBA is the competent authority of the Government of the Republic of Kenya mandated to regulate all activities involving GMOs in food, feed, research, industry, trade and environmental release.
NBA seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative and experienced Kenyan citizens to fill the following position:-
Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry into the Driver’s cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling and oiling systems, electrical system, tire pressure and brakes.Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems.Taking good care of the fuel card.Maintaining the work tickets for vehicles assigned.Driving the vehicle as authorized.Taking initiative for security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road and safety of the passengers and/or goods therein.Maintaining vehicle and ensuring that it is in a clean condition.Monitoring deadlines vehicle insurance.Reporting of accidents or theft.Verifying and monitoring repair works.For appointment to this grade, an applicant must have:-KCSE minimum mean grade D+ (plus)Current driving license free from current endorsements and valid for the classes of vehicles, which the candidate is required to drive.Suitability Test for Drivers.At least four (4) years previous satisfactory driving experience after obtaining the driving license.Accident free record within the last four (4) years.First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.Reporting of accidents or theft.Verifying and monitoring repair works.How to Apply
