Position: Programmer / Software Developer Wiselink Accounting and Business Consultants provide start ups and SMEs integrated and personalized consultancy needed to navigate the dynamic and complex business environment. As a programmer/software developer, you'll be playing a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems.
You will also be responsible for writing and coding individual programmes or providing an entirely new software resource.
Job Description
Developing new software applications in partnership with business analysts and technical architectsUpgrading existing software as the user organisation's needs changeLocalising software products for different international marketsTesting software to ensure the code is correct, fixing ('debugging') errors where they occur, and rerunning and rechecking the programme until it produces the correct resultsWorking with trainers and technical writers to develop user support materials.Maintaining the systems once they are up and runningBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of management/leadership experience in a software development organization requiredA record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development managerStrong understanding of the software development cycleTeam playerStrong project management skills, time management, and problem solving skillsExperience in Visual Basic (.Net), Java J2EE/JBoss application server software development (EJB, JMS, JDBC, JTA), XML and C++Java programming Relevant experience with web services and RESTExperience with EJB3 and/or Spring frameworksUnderstanding of relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL)Willingness to dive into software environments and technical issuesHigh command of verbal and written English.
