Chapacopy Rider Job in Kenya




Job Vacancy: Rider 

Chapacopy is a printing solutions company offering copying and printing services to both personal and business segments of the market.





Chapacopy was started in 2012, with the initial bureaus being Koinange and CrossRoad Karen.




To date, Chapacopy has 6 branches – Koinange, CrossRoads -­‐ Karen, Gallleria -­‐ Karen, Garden City-Thika road and ABC -­‐ Westlands. As part of the 5 -­‐ year strategic plan, 5 more branches will be open in 2015.



We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Rider 



He/She expected to work as a team. The as a member of the Delegation staff is expected to carry out duties for the Team. 



The Help Desk Coordinator directs daily routine of all the riders and so they should each report to Help Desk Coordinator and/or Accountant each morning and afternoon to check on any additional requirements for the day.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Collecting the official mail, documents, products and cheque from bureau shops and delivering as requested.

  • Collect jobs as directed from bureaus and deliver to customers, offices as requested.

  • As directed, be responsible for the maintenance of designated motorbike and inform the Help Desk Coordinator/Accountant when maintenance needs to be carried out.

  • Carry out weekly mechanical checks on designated motorbike. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the office/motorcycle.  Maintain the motorbike in a presentable clean state. Check engine and gear box oil level as specified.  Verify correctness of all tyres’ air pressure as specified in manufacturer’s manual and assess tyres’ tread, wear, evenness and damage.

  • Be responsible to inform the Help Desk Coordinator of re-registrations and insurance procedures for motorbike.

  • Carry out any other duties as directed by Help Desk Coordinator or Accountant (if within job description).

  • Ensure the safety of self, products or any items on transit at all times when on duty.


Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:


  • Primary Education is required and secondary education is considered an asset.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience and preferably as Rider and Messenger;

  • Valid driving license and Certificate of Good Conduct

  • Experience in a similar position in busy organization is considered an asset;

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Fluent English and Kiswahili


Skills


  • Reliable and safe driving services;

  • Full application of rules and procedures on motorbike management including maintenance of official vehicles.

  • Timely execution of standard tasks related to help desk service, purchase, delivery service and administration.
