Senior Travel Assistant Job in Nairobi Kenya

A start-up Tours and Travel Company based in Nairobi is seeking to fill the position of a Senior Travel Assistant. 

The preferred candidate MUST have prior experience working in a travel and ticketing company and have good B2B sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive assistance to the CEO.


• Responsible for corporate/B2B sales of MICE Packages / Charter flights.


• Conducting marketing activities, preparing marketing collaterals, update of website/twitter account.


• Generating leads, recognising any new business leads and actively sourcing new business.


• Analysing the client’s needs, preparing the adequate solution (package) and proposing the solution to client.


• Maintain the highest level of customer service at all times and ensuring repeat sales.


• Co-ordinate ground arrangements, sourcing and booking facilities.


• Product development and management.


• Conduct all operation day to day responsibilities in the absence of the MD.

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in tourism or travelling is imperative.


• Must have a minimum of 8 years of working knowledge and experience.


• Pro-active, sense of responsibility and can work independently.


• Excellent organization and Communication skills.


• Posse’s professional disposition with excellent interpersonal skills.


• Computer literate.


• Impeccable English communication skills both written and spoken.


• Must have previous administration experience.


• Able to work under Pressure and independent.


• Knowledgeable in the reservation operation and related applications.


• Comfortable working with a start-up Company.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh.180,000 – 200,000/= (Approx. 1,800 – 2,000 USD)depending on experience
