Vacancy: Business Development Manager
Job Purpose: As the business development manager you will identify sales leads, pitch goods or services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts.
Job Responsibilities:
- The role includes Managing the lead generation and actively and successfully manage the sales process.
- Developing new business relationships, generating and negotiating new revenues for the company.
- Ensuring achievement of set revenue targets i.e. monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the company.
- Demonstrating a drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for the company are captured and explored.
- Setting sales targets for individual Business Executives regional reps and the sales team as a whole. Preparing and managing the implementation of sales plans for the company.
- Initiating sales strategies and coordinating actions to influence the market clarify goals and reach agreement maintaining the interests of all parties as well as proactively developing and improving products and services.
- Understanding clients’ needs, building and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Managing the proposal development process and maintain the time-lines for the proposed projects. Liaising with sponsors regarding ongoing projects as well as developing draft proposals based on business development opportunities available.
- Maintaining a business development database that support marketing activities. Monitoring and interpreting all trends that occur within the industry.
- lead in Identification of major new business opportunities for the group and the management of the processes to respond pro-actively, leading to the seizing these emerging opportunities in all areas
- Writing up sales reports, activity reports and revenue forecasts.
- Use knowledge of Market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce/ Business Administration (Marketing Option)
- MBA will be an added advantage
- 10 years’ experience in marketing and sales
- 5 Years in a senior marketing position.

- Creative
