Title: Accountant

– FMCG
 

Location: Nairobi

Our client is a new entrant in the importation and distribution of various

types of fast moving consumer goods.

They

seek to hire an accountant.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Compare,
  
  analyze financial information and prepare financial statements including
  
  monthly and annual accounts.


• Filing
  
  and producing financial reports for management.


• Prepare
  
  Budgets


• Taking
  
  care of funds to pay bills and salaries to employees


• Monitoring
  
  reports with accuracy and detail and submitting timely financial reports.


• Oversee
  
  accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  
  i.e. handling Cash, petty cash and cheques.



• Monitor
  
  and support Taxation documents


• Perform
  
  any other duties as assigned.


• Billing
  
  Clients


• Paying
  
  invoices


• Handling
  
  Bank Reconciliations


• Performing
  
  Inter account transfers


• Data
  
  entry


• Filing
  
  and producing financial reports for management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors
  
  degree in Accounting and CPA part II


• At
  
  least 2 years experience in financial data entry


• Proficiency
  
  in the use of Accounting software preferably QuickBooks.


• KCSE
  
  mean grade-B


• Computer
  
  literate: proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, outlook, and PowerPoint.


• Self
  
  Driven


• Strong
  
  communication and problem solving skills.


• A
  
  team player


• Demonstrate
  
  the ability to work under pressure.
