Shipping & Logistics Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya (110K)

Our client, a leading Importer and Distributor of supplements based in Nairobi, Kenya is looking to recruit a Shipping & Logistics Manager. 

The ideal candidate MUST have above 5 years experience in the shipping and logistics sector and have knowledge of international commerce, finance and import / export laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring the inventory codes of all products in the shipment.


• Ensure proper pricing and distribution once the goods land.


• Handle technical details such as customs regulations and other documentation.


• Planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.


• Evaluate the costs of transportation, services and inventory within any budget.


• Process the GRNs and costings for the products.


• Prepare invoices for international shipment.


• Provide staff management.


• Ensure proper documentation is achieved.


• Ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.


• Ensure full compliance with all quality assurance standards, company’s policies, OSHA and government regulations.


• Report preparation.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a Degree in supply and procurement management or related field.


• Must have above 5 years experience in the shipping and logistics sector.


• Multinational experience would be an added advantage.


• Must be 30 years and above.


• Must have people management skills.


• Must be self motivated.


• Excellent computer skills.


• Excellent communication and negotiating skills.


• Have an interest in health food and supplements.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 80,000 – 110,000/= (Approx. 800 – 1,100 USD) depending on experience
