A new

clothing retail shop in Nairobi is looking to fill the position of a Retail Shop Assistant 
 

• Proactively
  
  close sales from walk-in customers


• Be
  
  involved in stock control and management.


• Be
  
  responsible for processing cash and card payments.


• Stocking
  
  shelves with merchandise.


• Answering
  
  queries from customers.


• Reporting
  
  discrepancies and problems to the manager.


• Giving
  
  advice and guidance on product selection to customers.


• Deal
  
  responsibly with customer complaints.


• Responsible
  
  for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and
  
  fraudulent credit cards etc.


• Keeping
  
  up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.

• Able
  
  to work as part of a sales team.


• Must
  
  be helpful and polite.


• Should
  
  be of a smart appearance and articulate.

• Minimum
  
  of a diploma in sales, customer service or business management


• A
  
  minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.


• Excellent
  
  communication skills.


• Well-developed
  
  organizational skills.
