Our
client is one of the largest Corporate and Commercial Law in Kenya.
They
provide legal advice and transaction services to a wide range of international
clients and local clients.
They wish to hire an Accountant with
experience in executing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Handle
statutory deductions such as declaration of compulsory payments to
Government. - Assist
with sending out instructions to the bank as the Agent to the bank and
handle all bank-related queries. - Manage
and perform general ledger reconciliations including sundry debtors, VAT,
withholding tax. - Prepare
month-end closing of management accounts. - Handle
the Director’s travel advances and ensure accountability of travel
expenses. - Coordinate
auditors’ requests when they visit the organization during auditing
exercises. - Ensure
that all finance-related controls are followed through and all criteria is
met - Manage
departmental budgetary control - Manage
directors’ credit cards and ensure necessary funds are available.
- A
Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferably in Commerce: Accounting and Finance
Option. - Certified
Public Accountant (CPAK). - Five
(5) to Seven (7) years’ experience within Finance in the Corporate or
Service industries. - Proficient
in Microsoft Office and Accounting software. - Must
be detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy. - Must
possess excellent organizational & planning skills. - Proven
analytical skills-ability to interpret or generate all types of financial
data and financial reports and statements. - Excellent
written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
