NEEMA Women Self Help Group has received funding from the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) towards drilling a borehole. 

USADF is an independent Agency of the US government that operates at local levels in Africa in support of economic development.

The NEEMA Procurement Committee now invites interested qualified and eligible borehole drilling contractors to submit bids for drilling and development of 1 borehole within NEEMA poultry enterprise in Kalong’iro village.
 

Qualifications:
 

Eligible firms must meet the following minimum criteria:

1. Certificate of Incorporation as a drilling firm;


2. Business Permit;


3. Have Rotary Rigs capable of both air and mud drilling to a depth of up to 150m;


4. Valid VAT Registration Certificate;


5. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate;


6. Registration Certificate with Ministry of water and irrigation for drilling category E.1 and above;


7. Evidence and previous drilling work of similar nature, full address of major clients served with similar works;


8. Experience in at least 5 similar assignments in the past 5 years.

Additional Information;

1. Each vendor should include a separate quote for installing a Diesel Generator as a back-up power source;


2. Selected vendor will be expected to undertake all works of delivering a sustainable and functional high yielding borehole not exceeding 150 meters depth from drilling to equipping and commissioning;

Quotations are received with the following conditions:

1. All prices quoted should be value added tax (vat) exclusive.


2. The price quoted shall remain valid for 90 days after opening of the bids.

Drilling firms/individuals are advised to send their technical proposals (with currency in Kenya shillings) for this assignment as their Expression of Interest (EOI). 

Vendors not disclosing full information in the EOI will be considered non-responsive and their EOIs rejected. 

Drilling firms must provide detailed CVs of all technical team members to undertake specific elements of the assignment with a confirmation that they will not change those individuals unless with prior written consent of NEEMA procurement Committee.
