developing and implementing an advocacy plan (coordinate, monitor) evaluating ACF regional advocacy strategy for East Africa as part of the ACF International Advocacy Strategy. Supporting and enhance policy and advocacy capacity in ACF missions in East Africa. Networking and representation of ACF"s position at regional level. Managing existing advocacy grants and lead the writing of successful advocacy funding proposals.

Key activities in your role will include

• Support the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ACF advocacy activities in East Africa


• Identify and support missions in their partnerships with civil society organizations and platforms at national and regional level.


• Elaborate strategies to approach donors and promote advocacy actions.


• Manage regional advocacy grants.

Do you meet the profile required criteria ?

You are dedicated humanitarian professional

• You have Masters" degree in development studies, international relations/affairs, social science, politics, or similar field.relevant Post-Graduate degree.


• You have at least 5 years working in Advocacy with an International humanitarian organization.


• You have experience in a technical field related to ACF USA’s program activities.

You have experience in internal and external representation in the humanitarian context and with stakeholders

• You have good knowledge of the humanitarian system, Food and Nutrition sectors and policies in emergency and post-emergency contexts.


• You have excellent excellent knowledge of advocacy cycle and advocacy tools.


• You have knowledge of the East Africa context.

You have the following competences

• You have proven the interpersonal and networking skills.


• You have strong negotation skills and capacity to promote consortiums and partnerships.


• You have open mined and flexible character.
