Request for Proposal: The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a state corporation, established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979.

A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested tenderers upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs 1,000.00 at the cash office, KEMRI Headquarters, off Mbagathi Road, Nairobi payable in cash or bankers cheque to the Director, KEMRI.

Bids submitted shall be valid for 90 days on submission. Bidders are required to provide the following statutory registration documents for all tenders i.e. Copies of PIN, VAT Reg., Cert. of Incorporation/Reg., valid tax clearance certificate, professional practicing license (where applicable) and audited accounts for the past three years.

Bidders can also download free of charge the same tender documents from Kenya Medical Research Institute website: www.kemri.org and immediately forward their particulars for records and/or for the purposes of receiving any further clarifications to procurement@kemri.org

The complete bid documents in plain sealed envelope marked with respective tender reference number and tender name should be addressed to:-

Or be deposited in the tender box located at the reception area of Kenya Medical Research Institute, ground floor off Mbagathi Way, Nairobi, so as to be received on or before the 12th July, 2016 at 10.30am.

Proposals shall be opened in the Training Centre immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders who may wish to witness the opening.

KEMRI may terminate the procurement proceedings prior to entering into a contract and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, without being bound to give reasons for its decision or incurring any liability.

The Institute is also not obligated to award to the firm that offers the lowest price.
