Overall purpose of the Job


  • Reporting to the Principal Human Resource Officer, the incumbent will assist in implementation of human resource policies, procedures and processes.

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: –


  • Assisting in distribution of interview materials to panelist to ensure efficient and effective recruitment.

  • Assisting in preparation of vouchers for all deductions to facilitate the Finance Department to prepare payments to the respective entities.

  • Assisting in extraction of monthly summaries from the payroll for inclusion in the management reports to facilitate decision making.

  • Assisting in uploading the NHIF, NSSF and NITA byproducts to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Assisting in sorting out job applications, filling appropriately and preparing application profiles in readiness for shortlisting.

  • Assisting in processing of leave.

  • Assisting in opening personnel files for new staff and ensuring all required documents are filed.

  • Assisting in issuance of staff identification cards.

Person Specifications

To qualify for this position, the applicant must: –


  • Have a Diploma in Human Resource Management or CHRP I from a recognized institution.

  • Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

  • Have a certificate in Computer Applications.
