Job Specification

The Principal
Officer (Administration) will report to the Deputy Director
(Human Resource & Administration). He / She will be responsible for
administrative services in the Authority.



Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically, duties and
responsibilities will entail: 





  • Overseeing the implementation of administration policies,
    rules, standards and regulations;

  • Coordinating office management services, office
    accommodation, transport and logistics;

  • Making arrangements for the acquisition of legal documents
    such as motor vehicle and assets insurances;

  • Ensuring all the Authority assets have requisite ownership
    documents such motor vehicle logbooks, land title deeds, etc.;

  • Managing and maintaining the assets register of the Authority;

  • Monitoring adherence and implementation of the departmental
    work plans;

  • Supervising the performance appraisals for the support staff
    within the Section;

  • Interpreting and implementing record management policies;

  • Developing records management systems; and

  • Preparation and submission of quarterly reports on
    administration within the Authority.



Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must have:




  • At least eight (8) years working experience in a similar
    position in the Public Service or Private Sector three (3) of which must
    be at a supervisory position;

  • Master’s Degree in Public Administration; Business
    Administration; Office Management or equivalent qualification from a
    recognized institution;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration; Business
    Administration; Office Management or equivalent qualification from a
    recognized institution;

  • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a
    recognized institution;

  • Proficiency in computer skills; and

  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution

  • Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Certificate of Good);
    and

  • An Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
