Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive
to join our team at Kenya Airfreight Handling Limited (KAHL), a leading
air cargo fresh produce ground handling agency. The Sales Executive will
play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new sales
opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and promoting
our specialized services within the air cargo fresh produce sector. The
ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, possess
excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a deep understanding of
the air cargo and fresh produce industries.
Principal
Accountabilities (Responsibility)
Business Development:
- Identify potential clients within the fresh produce industry
and air cargo sector to expand our customer base. • Further Development
and retention of existing customer base and major focus on new customer
development. - Ensure to adhere to all company code of conduct, legal, human
resources, environmental, ISO, Security and health and safety procedures
and standards - Conduct market research to understand customer needs,
industry trends, and competitor activities. - Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve
business objectives and revenue targets.
Client Relationship
Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing
clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring their satisfaction. - Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, addressing
concerns, and providing timely solutions. - Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure
seamless service delivery to clients. - Develop Business Development Strategies
Sales and Negotiations:
- Present and promote our ground handling services to potential
clients, showcasing the benefits and value propositions. - Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations,
proposals, and quotations. - Negotiate terms and pricing agreements in line with
company policies and customer expectations.
Market Expansion:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including
potential partnerships, collaborations, and market segments. - Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to
network and stay updated on industry developments.
Sales Reporting and
Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client
interactions, and prospects - Prepare regular sales reports, providing insights into
sales performance, market trends, and potential growth areas.
Collaboration and
Communication:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including
operations and customer support, to ensure a cohesive customer experience. - Communicate market feedback, customer insights, and
competitor information to internal teams.
Job
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related
field (or equivalent work experience).
Additional Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably
within the air cargo or logistics industry. - In-depth knowledge of air cargo operations and fresh
produce handling is a strong advantage. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the
ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams. - Excellent negotiation and persuasive selling abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working
independently. - Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend
