SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Workshop Coordination
The workshop coordinator is responsible monitor if workshop orders are manufactured within the agreed delivery schedules. Workshop orders are tracked from the ‘workshop orders schedule log.’ Information about workshop order progress is provided both to the sales staff and directors. Any foreseen delivery issues are brought to the attention of the directors in advance. Completed orders are verified prior to delivery.
Labour Designation
The workshop coordinator must also track daily labour allocation both in the workshop and on site, to ensure that sites are completed within the projected labour allocations.
Material Dispatch
Cross checking cutting list with actual production
Quality Control
Loading correct material
Management of delivery notes
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
* Diploma or certificate level
* 2 years prior experience in workshop coordination
* Experience in the timber industry is an added advantage.
* Ability to read technical drawings is a must
* Excellent coordination and team skills
* An ability to work under tight schedules.
* Computer literacy with skills in excel Microsoft projects, email etc.
* Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
* Excellent communication skills
