I have been feeling really uncomfortable at work lately. my boss has been acting very strange with me. He often asks me to go out to lunch with him. I get rewarded with things when I haven't even done anything worth being rewarded.
When I ask him why I am being rewarded with a gift card if i didn't do anything extraordinary he says its just
because. I am 25 and am married and he is 40-something and also is married and has 3 kids. Not to mention he is not a good looking man--so of course I am not flattered.
He also always wants to chat with me a lot at work, asks me personal questions, and obviously goes out of his way to help me with anything, even things that are not work related. He is not this way at all with any of my other coworkers and I'm tired of being seen as "the favorite".
I don't want to accept his gifts but don't want to seem like an ingrate. I also mentioned all of this to my husband so I can get a mans perspective but he says that maybe he just appreciates me and I should not assume anything wrong and that not all men are trying to get in my pants.
I want to think that way too but I have that gut feeling and it makes me very uncomfortable to be around him. what do i do?
