Our client a leading European contractor requires a Contract Manager to work on a large construction of a dam project in Ethiopia.
Project:
A large HEPP project in Ethiopia. At over 145m tall and 1800m wide the project has a construction value of around $4.8 billion and is expected to take nearly 4 years to build. When completed the dam will be largest hydroelectric power plant in Africa and the reservoir will be one the continents largest.
Job Role:
The position is expected to reside permanently in the job site and refers to the Project Management. The Contract Manager is responsible of the contractual administration of the contract and of the proper and timely preparation of contractual correspondence form Contractor to Employer and/or Employer's Representative. He is responsible to manage the Quantity Surveying Department and provide guidance and assistance to the Chief Quantity Surveyor for the preparation of monthly statements and for possible variation orders. He is also responsible of the contractual administration of project subcontracts and of the timely and proper verification of related monthly statements. The candidate shall have a minimum 25 years overall work experience of which at least 12 in similar role and possess at least one previous experience in a large earth dam construction project and, possibly, also in a roller compacted concrete dam.

Must speak, read and write Fluent English
