Regional Director – East Africa

e are currently recruiting for Regional Director – East Africa who will strategically lead and support IRW’s operations in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan on planning and management of programmes, together with networking with and building strong relationships with donors, other NGO’s, IRW’s International Office and their partner offices.
In addition staff supervision and monitoring and evaluation of programmes.
The Regional Director will work in close colloration with the Country Directors and their Finance and Administration Managers of each country to maintain accurate financial record and support standardisation and consolidation of administrative, HR, financial, logistics processes and procedures.
The successful applicant will need to be a superb diplomat with experience of project management and microfinance programmes together with networking and developing links with government offices and INGO’s.
A postgraduate degree in development studies or a proven track record is essential. Previous experience on proposal writing and the managements of grants and budgets are also essential.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken in English is fundamental, together and the ability to write and speak in an Eastern African language and Arabic would be desirable.
