NCPWD Drivers Jobs in Kenya (3 Vacancies)

The National Council for Persons with Disabilities [NCPWD] is a State Corporation which was established in November 2004 following the enactment of the Persons with Disability Act, 2003 to formulate and implement policies that are geared towards mainstreaming Persons with Disabilities to the national economy and to create an enabling environment in which Persons with Disabilities can operate effectively and efficiently in order to contribute positively to the national economy. The council seeks to recruit a self motivated, dynamic and results oriented person to fill the following vacancies:

Driver
Reporting to the Officer in charge of Transport, the duties and responsibilities will entail the following:Ensuring proper functioning of the vehicle including engine cooling, cooling oil, electrical and braking systems, wheel pressure and lubrication system amongst others.Detecting and reporting malfunction of vehicle systemsMaintaining work tickets for vehicles  assigned to him/herCarrying only authorized passengers and goods.Ensuring safety of the passengers and/ or goods in the vehicleEnsuring strict adherence to traffic regulationsMaintaining security and safety for the vehicle on and off the roadMaintaining cleanliness of the vehicleMaintaining documentation pertaining to vehicle maintenance and repairsFor appointment to this grade a candidate must have:Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination mean grade ‘D +’ plus or its equivalent;Valid driving license free from any endorsements for Classes B-C-E;At least two(2) years previous satisfactory driving experience after obtaining the driving license;Passed Occupational trade test II for drivers;A Valid Certificate of good conductFirst Aid Certificate lasting not less than one (1) week from St John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
Salary: Kshs. 24,662 x 1,233 – 25,895 x 1,285 – 27,180 x 1,340 – 28,520 x 1,398 – 29,918 p.m.
