New Business Sales Executive (Clearing and Forwarding) Job in Kenya




Job Title: Clearing and Forwarding New Business Sales Executive
 



Description: Our established client in the Clearing and Forwarding industry is looking for an experienced Sales Executive to be based in their JHB branch. 



They are seeking QUALIFIED individuals to join their vibrant external sales teams and hit the ground running. 



The candidate MUST have a proven track record in Clearing and Forwarding as well as extended knowledge in Logistics. 



You will be expected to bring in New Business and reach targets in order to earn commission.



Strong customer orientation and communication is required for this position as well as organizational and planning skills.        
 



Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales in Clearing and Forwarding.

  • MUST HAVE sold Full Logistics Solutions

  • Must be able to provide proof that you are currently achieving sales target.

 


Skills:


  • Strong administrative skills and computer skills

  • Proven track record in sales

  • Analytical and mathematical skills to assist in quotations

  • Great organizational and time management skills


Abilities:


  • Ability to cold call.

  • Acquire strong sales experience.

  • Ability to problem solve and find a practical solution to issues.

  • Acquire good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to negotiate.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Ability to understand the business process and interpret business needs.

  • Be willing to work overtime when required.

  • Be able to work under pressure and in stressful environments.

  • Fully computer literate in Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook and Power point.


 Responsibilities:


  • Be the first contact between the company and potential customers.

  • Sourcing new business through industry market knowledge and research.

  • Cold Call and establish appointments with potential customers.

  • Compile and complete a needs evaluation to suit each customer’s needs as per industry standards.

  • Present proposed solutions to our Customers

  • Work accordingly to the sales and buyer cycle

  • Compile monthly reports on all sales activities

  • Monitor financial targets due to performance

  • Monitor and manage customer call ratios that need to be achieved
