Functional Consultant Navision – Kenya

Position Overview: Techno Brain Kenya is looking for experienced ERP software functional consultants to implement the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system. 

Candidates should have extensive experience with ERP software implementations, and must be resourceful, knowledgeable, dedicated, energetic and professional.

As a functional consultant you will play a very important role with responsibilities such as project management, consulting, training, system configuration and customer support. 

Candidates should be top performing and star quality consultants who will deliver outstanding results, exceed expectations and ensure that our customers are extremely satisfied.

Role and Responsibilities

• Implement the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP software.


• Interface with senior management and end users and ensure high customer satisfaction.


• Work in a dynamic, challenging and fast paced environment.


• Perform tasks such as conducting needs and gap analysis studies, system installation, setup, consulting, training, analyzing and compiling requirements, writing specifications for software enhancements, testing, and providing on-site and remote customer support.


• Work well as part of the implementation team dedicated to delivering quality results on time and within budget, and exceed customers’ expectations.


• Consult customers on best practices, and reengineer business processes so that the Dynamics NAV system helps them to reduce costs and increase productivity, efficiency, sales and profits.

Requirements gathering and Documentation:

• Understand Partners Products and assist partners in requirement gathering


• Preparing requirements following meetings and input from the clients


• Organizing, categorizing and preparing all documentation


• Presenting to management for review, and making changes as required


• Assisting with the preparation of the project status report, project timeline and project budget


• Reporting the status of all assigned tasks to the project manager at the end of every day in which work has been done for the client.


• Responsible for identifying risks in the project discovered during any work for the client and reporting them to the project manager.


• Ensure Signoffs on related activities

System Configuration and Testing

• Assist in the design of  the solution


• System installation and database setup


• Testing configured software modules ( Unit and integration testing) against final requirements

Delivery of End User Training

• Preparing the training itinerary, materials and manuals


• Delivering training to end users as scheduled

Customer support

• Interface with senior management and end users and ensure high customer satisfaction.


• Provide Onsite support at Client’s site


• Provide support to users in the  UAT phase


• Providing go live and post-implementation support

Experience Profile

• At least 2-3 years Professional working experience in implementing ERP software.


• Strong presentation, communication, administration and interpersonal skills.


• Previous exposure to state-of-the-art implementation methodology.


• Strong understanding of ERP software and related terminology, best practices, project management, business rules and customer requirements.


• Must be dedicated, ethical, organized, professional, and a true team player.


• Applicants must possess at least a BS/BA degree and must be authorized to work in the United States.


• Degree in Business, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering or any other related field or Other related field


• Experience with Dynamics NAV 2009 and 2013, SQL Server, SharePoint, EDI, WMS and NAV Software Development is a big plus.
