Vacancy: Implementation and Support Consultant 

(1 Position) 

Our client is an integrated ICT solutions provider with experienced professionals who provide services to companies looking to improve their business processes by identifying their needs, both present and future solutions.

They are a market leader offering ICT solution in Kenya & Tanzania carrying on the business of Hardware, Fiscal Solutions, ERP, POS solutions and Internet Security Solutions. 

They focus to offer the state of the art electronic ICT & business solutions to facilitate commerce & networking in bridging the gap between equipment & business functions to ensure that information is managed quickly and efficiently by designing & implementing quality business solutions.

 

In line with the business demands driven by rapid growth, they are looking for a qualified, highly competent results driven individual to fill the position of Implementation and Support Consultant
 

Purpose Statement of the Position: The consultant will work closely with clients and senior consulting personnel to implement and support various ERP & Point of Sale (POS) software solutions. 

In this role the consultant will be responsible for the configuration, testing and deployment of the solution. 

The position also has a secondary programming role that would require a good understanding of software development/programming, SQL and relational databases

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales Support.


• System analysis and consultation for existing customers.


• Conducting training for customers on the use of software.


• Consulting existing customers on version upgrades.


• Software implementation and support.


• Acting on sales opportunities.


• Occasional software development/programming and database customization.

Minimum Requirement

• Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems / Business / Financial Systems.


• Accounting certification or a post graduate business management related degree / diploma would be an added advantage.


• 1-2 years’ experience in the field or related; POS/ERP support / development / implementation.


• Thorough knowledge and understanding of software applications architecture and infrastructure.


• Advanced SQL and RDBMS architecture knowledge.


• SQL performance tuning.


• Advanced .Net (C#) and HTML5/JavaScript software development


• Experience in system testing and support to user acceptance testing (UAT)


• Able to effectively deliver technical training


• Ability to assess a situation from the end user’s perspective.


• High level of computer competence.

Competencies and Skills Required

• Eager to learn and take responsibility; organized and self-motivated individual.


• A good understanding of accounting principles and ability to communicate them is required.


• Fluent English command, both verbal and written.


• Good communication skills.


• Ability to work independently or with a team.


• Ability to work with minimum supervision and under high pressure environments.


• Open to frequent travel within and outside Kenya. 

 Salary Budget: Kshs.60,000-75,000
