The Role: The role contributes towards influencing
establishment of sound logistics and procurement systems in RO and COs to
improve the standards of supplies and fleet management.
S/he will advocate for raising the
profile and quality of Logistics services, standardise logistics functions,
review policies and systems and constantly ascertain their effectiveness with a
view to sustain high quality Logistics support to operations and programme work
across all country programmes in the RESA region.
S/he will pro-actively support the
procurement activities of Regional Office.
S/he will provide required technical
support in Disaster Risk Management and also Emergency Response actions within
the region.
- Should have University degree in
Administration, Logistics, Business management or related field, - Demonstrate progressive relevant experience of
over 5 years in Logistics, procurement, export and import, supply chain
and fleet management roles, have people management skills and working with
diverse team, have clear exposure to Emergency contexts. - Training and capacity building skills is an
added advantage.
Location: The post holder will be based in the Regional
Office in Nairobi, Kenya
