RTI International is accepting applications for a Senior ECDE Advisor (Senior Technical Advisor III) for the Tayari programme in Kenya.
The programme is anticipated to run through March 2018 and aims to improve learner’s preparedness for primary school through improving emergent literacy, emergent numeracy, psychosocial and health skills.

Senior Early Childhood Development & Education Advisor (Senior Technical Advisor III)
The Senior Early Childhood Development & Education (ECDE) Advisor will provide guidance and technical leadership to the programme.
This will include support of the development and revision of teaching and learning materials for ECDE, support to teacher professional development strategies and implementation and assessment of the program.
S/he will work with the project team, team at the headquarters office, as well as other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the programme.
In addition, support to advocacy efforts to promote the importance of investing in ECDE in Kenya.
S/he will support the COP in overseeing general office operations, HR, grants, financial management, and communications information technology.
Qualifications: A Ph.D./Ed.D in Education, Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field with 12 years of experience implementing ECD Programmes.
Master’s degree in the same field with 15 years of experience implementing ECD will also be considered.
Experience working on donor-funded projects in pre-primary education, curriculum development or teacher professional development required.
Experience in supervising staff, managing operations and implementing interventions preferred.
Proven ability as a facilitator/trainer and willingness to travel to support training in field sites is required.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, strong presentation and facilitation.
