A 3
Star Hotel is looking for a seasoned Chef with an incurable passion for food
and fine culinary delights.
The
ideal person must be a creative genius in the kitchen who boldly experiments
with ingredients to create aromatic mouth watering signature dishes to the
delight and satisfaction of our guests.
S/he must be ready to inject new life into our cuisine.
S/he
must possess a preparation mastery of international / national and ethnic
cuisines to satisfy diverse palates.
Responsibilities: The head chef will train and manage
kitchen personnel and supervise / coordinate all related culinary activities;
estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food; select and develop
recipes; standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality; establish
presentation technique and quality standards; plan and price menus; ensure
proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation
in kitchen.
The
head chef may cook selected items or for select occasions.
The
head chef may oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary
instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques.
The
head chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for
discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases.
Special
qualifications: The
ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer
services is essential to success in this role.
- Previous
experience with control food and labor cost, demonstration cooking, menu
development, and pricing and development of culinary team preferred. - Premise
and liability accountability and contract-managed service experience is
desirable.

have educational background from a recognized hotel school - Must
have knowledge of any hotel management system e.g. Fedelio or Opera - Salary
is negotiable dependable on experience. - The
ability to work in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer
services is essential to succeed in these roles.
