Food & Beverage Supervisor Job in Northwest of Mount Kenya

Our client, a Luxury Hotel located in Northwest of Mount Kenya is looking for an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor.  

The ideal candidate will possess a passion to anticipate, meet and exceed the guest’s needs possessing and insatiable desire to attain the highest levels of quality and cleanliness in all areas of the F&B operations. 

The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. MUST be willing to relocate.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Make appropriate suggestions of F&B.


• Ensure knowledge & compliance with health and safety rules.


• Ensure cost control policies and procedures are followed.


• Ensure all equipments entrusted to you and your colleagues are handled well and report any faults & equipment not working well.


• Follow and support all environmental initiatives of the management.


• Demonstrate an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service.


• Communicate pleasantly & courteously with guests, management and co-workers.


• Assist as needed to maintain standards of appearance, sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant.


• Communicate with outgoing and incoming shifts & assign stations.


• Conduct departmental meetings and shift briefings.


• The ability to recommend on staff selection, provide training and report on progress of performance.


• Train & motivate all subordinates on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or relevant discipline.


• Minimum of 4-5 years in F&B experience in a similar capacity in a 5-star environment.


• Previous F&B experience in a luxury setting is an asset.


• Excellent English communication skills, both written & spoken.


• Possess professional disposition with excellent interpersonal skills.


• Attention to detail and strong sense of urgency.


• Good knowledge in the principles and practices within the F&B/hospitality profession.


• Must be willing to relocate.


• Must have a very flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.


• Basic computer knowledge (Ezee burp or other POS systems).

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 40,000 – 60,000/= (Approx. 400 – 600 USD) depending on experience
