Our client an investment holding company that is a major Provider of Natural Sweeteners to the global food and beverage industry are looking to recruit a Nursery / Propagation Manager.
Location: Nakuru, Kenya
The ideal candidate will assist in the development in a first of its kind project globally.
He/she MUST have strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Workforce management.
- Data capture & processing.
- Cutting projections and forecasting.
- Implement pest and fungal crop protection programs.
- Nutritional applications for growth stage management.
- Irrigation scheduling.
- Nursery development.
- Trial management with report on findings.
- Managing export processes.
- Audit preparations.
Qualifications
- Horticultural diploma or related qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the horticultural industry.
- Direct experience required with plant propagation/nursery management.
- Strong leadership & numerical skills.
- Must be willing to relocate.
- Proven labour management experience.
- Able to set up trials & record findings in report formats.
- An in-depth knowledge of horticultural crops.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Accurate, professional time keeping with a productive approach to problem solving.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000/= (Approx. 1,000 USD)
