Nursery / Propagation Manager Job in Nakuru, Kenya (100K)

Our client an investment holding company that is a major Provider of Natural Sweeteners to the global food and beverage industry are looking to recruit a Nursery / Propagation Manager. 

Location: Nakuru, Kenya

The ideal candidate will assist in the development in a first of its kind project globally. 

He/she MUST have strong leadership skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Workforce management.


• Data capture & processing.


• Cutting projections and forecasting.


• Implement pest and fungal crop protection programs.


• Nutritional applications for growth stage management.


• Irrigation scheduling.


• Nursery development.


• Trial management with report on findings.


• Managing export processes.


• Audit preparations.

Qualifications

• Horticultural diploma or related qualifications.


• Minimum of 5 years experience within the horticultural industry.


• Direct experience required with plant propagation/nursery management.


• Strong leadership & numerical skills.


• Must be willing to relocate.


• Proven labour management experience.


• Able to set up trials & record findings in report formats.


• An in-depth knowledge of horticultural crops.


• Good interpersonal & communication skills.


• Computer literate.


• Accurate, professional time keeping with a productive approach to problem solving.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000/= (Approx. 1,000 USD)
