Bottled Water Supplier Driver Job in Nairobi

Our client is a growing supplier of bottled water who supplies its product to corporates and retail clients in Nairobi.

They are currently looking for a competent driver with a clean track record to join their team.
 

Successful candidate must have experience driving a van as well as manual vehicles.
 

 

Specific Duties

• Safely deliver water to various locations


• Ensure that the paperwork such as delivery notes, invoices, route delivery sheets, parking receipts, fuel receipts and any other records of loads hauled/transferred are completed are accurate and forwarded to the office daily.


• Ensure the vehicle is maintained and in good working condition.  Must check oil levels, tires, and basic car fittings.  Notify the office of all problems immediately


• Dependable attendance, no unauthorized absences.


• Carrying out mesengerial roles from time to time


• Clean assigned vehicle daily and ensure it is a clean condition


• Ensure that all vehicle licenses are up to date and renewed in good time.


• Abide by traffic signals, rules and regulations


• Keep tabs on maintenance schedules, servicing and can insurances of vehicles


• Carrying out any other roles as may be assigned by Management from time to time

Qualifications & Skill Sets

• ‘O’ levels


• Driver’s license, defense driving skills with an excellent knowledge of various routes in Nairobi


• 3 – 5 years’ experience


• Hands on understanding of traffic rules.


• Basic mechanical skills to work on vehicles


• Good organizational skills to complete, organize, and forward water tickets, vehicle inspection reports, and drivers daily logs in a timely manner; also, to plan most efficient route to follow during deliveries.


• The role will require someone who can carry heavy loads.


• Effective communication skills including customer care


• Effective interpersonal skills


• Record keeping skills


• Good presentation skills and clean


• Must be willing to work overtime.
