Accounts Assistant Job in Kenya

Job Title: Accounts Assistant
 

Reports to: Senior Accountant
 

Area: Finance & Accounts
 

Job Purpose: The position assists in day to day running of finance department by ensuring all daily transactions are captured correctly and in a timely manner to enable production of various accounting reports.

Key Accountabilities:

• Vendor Invoice  processing and posting


• Raising of debit notes and following up for credit notes


• Bank Reconciliation highlighting reconciling items


• Supplier accounts reconciliation highlighting reconciling items


• Posting of payments and allocation


• Handling of supplier queries


• Preparation of payments and issuing checks

Application of Guidelines & Decision Making Authority
 

Guidelines: Senior Accountant
 

Decision Making: Decision maker – Financial Controller.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
 

Minimum Qualifications: CPA part 2 or Bachelors Degree
 

Minimum Experience: 1 year
 

Skills:

• Strong attention to details


• Ability to work under pressure and execute instructions

Competencies:

• Team player


• ERP System Knowledge (Basic/Moderate)


• Computer Proficiency


• Data analysis
